From freedom to war and back again to freedom.

Having just returned from Israel and my first visit to the Hadera region, I think my heart will always remain in Israel. I can't wait to return. Am Yisrael Chai!

"הלילה הזה כולנו מסובין" from the Passover Haggadah. Challenging days in which everyone is locked in their own safe room. And yet - Passover is the holiday of freedom and therefore we must sit at the Seder table and believe that better and safer days will come. The hope of the people of Israel.

"We were slaves to Pharaoh in Egypt, and the Lord our God brought us out from there with a mighty hand". We are free. Am Yisrael Chai!

As we approach Passover, I invite each of us to add a voice to this shared wall. Across distance and different communities, we remain connected through our shared story, our traditions, and our hope for a better future. Wishing everyone a meaningful and hopeful Passover.

Dear Friends and Family, when I think of Passover, I remember a trip to the countryside near St. Petersburg, FSU. Our delegation celebrated Pesach with a group of seniors who hadn't celebrated in 40 years. It was a most moving and meaningful day. Peace & Love

This is from a CCAR Haggadah from 1974 that my family has used for years.It is the modern plagues"The making of war, the teaching of hate and violence, despoliation of the earth, perversion of justice and of government, fomenting of vice and crime; neglect of human needs, oppression of nations and peoples, corruption of culture, subjugation of science, learning and human discourse, the erosion of freedoms" These are so relevant today.

Dear P2G Family, As we approach the holiday of Passover this year, the words from the Haggadah become too real. Some of you may have seders in your safe rooms as missile alarms go off, we are standing with you side by side and shoulder to shoulder praying for you, your families and for our beloved Israel. Our shared sense of community continues to be strong and heartfelt. Sending lots of love, hugs and blessings this Passover and next year in Jerusalem.

I am so grateful to have my P2G community of friends/family. Having this group gives me hope for better times, and ultimately that we can all live peacefully in this world. May we live the words of Isaiah 2:4!
